Convert in a few steps

Choose your PDF in Ultimate Converter. Select Markdown when offered, convert, review warnings and Save the .md file. Open it in your preferred text editor to review the structure.

Text PDFs versus scans

Text-based PDFs contain characters the converter can read. Scanned pages are images and require OCR, which this release does not include. A PDF extension alone does not guarantee editable text.

Layout is reconstructed

The converter rebuilds readable text and supported headings and tables. Columns, unusual fonts, complex layouts and unsupported PDF features may lose structure or prevent import. Markdown cannot represent every feature of a designed PDF.

Review important documents

Compare names, numbers, paragraph order and tables against the original before using the result. This beta has broader PDF compatibility but does not claim universal PDF support.

Private files stay local

Conversion takes place on your Windows device without an account or file upload. The original remains intact. For bug reports, describe the issue or provide a non-sensitive sample rather than publishing private documents.
